We are looking for a garage technician who works in an independent garage, who has gone above
and beyond the call of duty and deserves recognition for all their hard work to the service.

Whether it's someone who takes great pride in their work, has a great reputation with customers or a close relationship with their local community, we want to hear their stories!

So, whether you're an independent garage technician yourself or you know someone who is a worthy candidate, why not nominate now?

All you have to do is fill out the form below, explaining why you, or the technician you know, could be this year's Valeo Garage Hero. Make sure to include examples of when you, or the technician you know, has gone that extra mile to make sure someone is on the road at a critical time or has been on hand to help in a crisis, or is just plain fantastic!'

You will also need to upload a photograph of yourself, or the technician you know.

Six finalists will be short listed and will be treated to a professional photo shoot for a special charity calendar.

Proceeds from the calendar will go to two dedicated industry charities supported by Valeo:

Ben, the UK's only charity for those who work, or have worked, in the automotive and related industries and Brake, the road safety charity.

The finalists will also be given 25 complimentary copies to use for personal promotional purposes. Other benefits of being the Valeo Garage Hero include having great publicity for your garage and the winner will also receive free PR in their local press.

The finalists will also be invited to an expenses paid industry dinner in December 2010, where the overall winner and 'Valeo Garage Hero 2010' will receive a £1,000 cash prize, while the five runners up will receive £200.
